And Sew It Begins...

My obsession with beautiful fabric that is.

I was invited to attend a sewing class a couple of weeks ago and in desperate need for some new creative mojo (having been paper crafting for the last four or five years) I decided to go along.

Well,  it was fantastic. We got to make a cute little tote from start to finish and I was hooked!

I picked up this gorgeous fabric from Spotlight.

Having never sewn before I am really pleased with the end result.

Now I am on the hunt for some inspirational sewing blogs and I am looking forward to gaining some new crafty friends and learning lots from all of you!

Thanks for stopping in to say Hi.

Michelle :o)

I'm adding my bag to the following linky parties

    1. Thank you Marci. I should have bought some cheap fabric for my first project just in case I stuffed it up but I really couldn't go past this pretty butterfly fabric.

  5. Welcome to the sewing and blogging world! And tackling zippers already--your a natural. Love your bags and looking forward to seeing your future projects. I hope you will share your paper projects, too. I have a Silhouette that isn't getting nearly enough use. I need to learn more about paper projects to do on it.

    1. Hi Baye, thank you so much for coming by my blog. I am having such a great time. It is nice to feel excited about crafting again. I have not touched my paper craft in such a long time but I am sure I will still make cards for family and friends as needed.
